Not a Colorado native, but I got here as soon as I could! Born in Pittsburgh, PA and raised through youth in Las Vegas, NV, my family moved south of Denver in 1997, where I attended middle/high school. I attended Colorado State University, fortunate to be at the Bradlee Van Pelt helmet spike CU rivalry game but not the “pepper spray” victory just a few years prior. I also didn’t get to kayak on the Oval in ’97 but lived on campus for the March blizzard of ’03!
After graduating, I worked in construction supply up and down the front range, working with offices from Alamosa to Berthoud, and I was able to be a part of the growth of the Colorado Real Estate Market at a unique level. During this time, I spent several seasons as an adopted Rockies fan, attending every Tuesday night game, but leaving the 9-run 9th inning comeback in the 7th inning, and missing out on the walk off home run hit 40 feet from my now empty seat. It was a hard lesson learned.
Shortly after the economic downturn, with the slow construction industry recovery, I turned to a career in Energy Efficiency and Renewable Energy, with the hope of effecting greater positive change through my career. Working with the Department of Energy, I helped oversee energy projects on buildings across the United States, all while still living in Northern Colorado. My focus was on Residential Energy Efficiency projects, with the goals of saving individuals money, increasing their comfort, and improving their health. Through these projects my knowledge of housing grew, as well as my experience as a project manager. I attended the 2012 “Tebowbowl” in my Steelers jersey and enjoyed the kindness of the Broncos fans who had no expectation to win, let alone do so through the fastest overtime victory in NFL playoff records.
While I appreciated the opportunity to support positive change at a high level, I found myself wishing to focus my impact at a personal level and see the results of my efforts pay off in real time. I find that helping you find the best place for you to live, vacation, or invest, and making the process of the transaction as comfortable as possible gives me the opportunity to help you positively through some of life’s biggest moments.
I now live in south Fort Collins, and if I’m not working for you, I’m likely in the mountains or at a beach, unless I’m golfing, hiking, spending time with my family, or coaching/attending my kids’ basketball, soccer, or swim team practices/events… not necessarily in that order!
